Azhagiya Tamizh Magan – tale of sets worry

Vijay

In film industry sticking to deadlines plays a crucial role as every step in making a film involves money in great amounts. For the upcoming Vijay starrer Azhagiya Thamizh Magan, an enormous bungalow set was erected at A V M studios where a considerable part of the film involving Vijay and Shreya were filmed.

But the unit is in trouble right now as they are not able to complete shooting at the premises as per their schedule due to the absence of Geetha, yester year heroine of Pudu Pudu Arthangal who plays the role of Shreya’s mother in this film.

There are some sequences in the film involving Geetha which needs to be shot at the bungalow set. But the actress is said to be in America right now. This has put a temporary break in the progress of the film as the unit is not in a position to remove the set but at the same time is forced to pay the rent for the same. Hope the lady in question returns soon to complete her portion.

Vijay eyes Mohanlal and Vikram eyes Mammooty

vijay27v.jpg

It is a known fact in Kollywood that Vijay is cautious about every step he takes where his career is concerned. This is obvious from the fact that he always prefers remakes from other languages. His recent mega hit Pokkiri was also a remake of a Telugu movie of the same name.

Having tasted success in the safest way possible by starring in Telugu and Kannada remakes, Vijay now eyes Mohanlal’s Chhotta Mumbai, an action thriller, which was a mega hit in Mollywood.

Looks like Vikram will soon be following Vijay’s footsteps. He has reportedly shown a keen interest in the Mammooty-starrer Big B, a stylish and technically savvy action movie. Sources from Kollywood say that Vikram has seen the movie with director Dharani hinting that he may direct the movie.

Vijay hits another century

  Pokkiri

Readers may be aware that Behindwoods’ review team had predicted earlier that Vijay’s Pokkiri would be a huge hit. The prophecy has turned out to be true indeed. Pokkiri has already completed over 100 days of successful screening and is marching towards greater victory.

The movie has been running to packed houses at the city’s Devi, Satyam and Abirami cineplexes and Agasthya theatre apart from other theatres all over the state. Moreover, Pokkiri has attracted the attention of movie buffs of the neighboring states as well. It was well received in Kerala and is marching towards success there too.

It is not just the star value of Vijay and Asin but the story, music and other technical details are also attributed to Pokkiri’s success. With the smashing hit of Pokkiri, the Illaya Thalapathi has once again established his status in Kollywood.
