Shalika in Vijay’s film!

Vijay

Having been chased out of Kerala, this glamour actress depends on this Vijay film for her comeback.

At one time, she acted with top actors like Mammootty and Mohanlal. She does not get any more comedy roles in Tamil and Telugu either. She does not want to do films that run only morning shows. Now, thanks to Vijay, she’s back in the reckoning.

She has a role in ‘Azhagiya Thamizhmagan’ starring Vijay. She has no earth shaking role in it, it’s just a small role. But she feels that even this one small role in a Vijay film could help erase her old image and set her on a new path.

She has got a nice role in a Malayalam film too. She acts as her own self as actress Shakila in a Mohanlal film. Mohanlal plays an auto driver, who is an ardent fan of Shakila. A scene where he attends a shooting of Shakila has been shot recently. Once this film is released, Shakila hopes she will get more Malayalam film offers.

May her dreams come true!

Trisha joins Ghilli team

gilli00268.jpg

Everything was in place for the fairytale reunion of a hugely successful team. Dharani, Vijay and Vidyasagar had already decide that it was time for Round 2 and the only person missing from the days of Ghilli was Trisha; well, not any more. She has joined the party.

We had earlier reported the coming together of Dharani, Vijay and Vidyasagar for a movie that will commence after Azhagiya Thamizh Magan. Udayanithi, grandson of CM M.Karunanidhi will be producing this film. Udayanithi has already thrown a party to mark the confirmation of the project. Now that Trisha too has joined in, the work has started.

It is being said that Vidyasagar has already finished composing one song for the movie. The official launch of this movie is expected to be held on the Tamil New Year’s Day. Looking at the scheduled start of the movie it can be expected to hit screens for Pongal 2008.

What is the movie going to be like? Well, when the Ghilli team comes together there is only one thing that the movie can be; racy entertainer.

Vijay celebrates Pokkiri’s success in Kerala

After Pokkiri’s success was celebrated in Tamil Nadu, Vijay moved to other states mainly Kerala where Pokkiri recorded the biggest hit as far as Tamil Movies are concerned. A function was organized to celebrate its success in Kerala. Vijay along with the producer Ramesh Babu were invited to the function.

All arrangements were done with the help of fan club associations in Kerala. Fans are overwhelmed with the success of Pokkiri. The situation was uncontrollable in Kerala when Vijay arrived. He is becoming a hot hero in Kerala when compared to the heroes of his generation. The fans welcomed Vijay in a very grand manner with the customary whistles, crackers, etc.

Vijay wished all his fans for the success of Pokkiri in Kerala. He told that he was very happy to be here. He said he got a huge response from his fans. So he will have to fulfill future expectations of his fans and the responsibility on him increases with each success.

Shields for Pokkiri’s success were distributed to the people concerned. Malayalam’s star actor Suresh Gopi was the chief guest of the function. He came and wished Vijay for the mega success of Pokkiri. The function took place at Atulya theatre, Trivandrum. The Pokkiri distributor wished Vijay to do more films in the coming future.

Pokkiri now stands as the biggest Tamil hit movie in Kerala. It would take a big effort to break Pokkiri’s record in the coming days. We hope Azhagiya Thamizh Magan would be the next movie to break Pokkiri’s record in Kerala, as per Vijay’s words.

* I won’t change my get-up. And I will act with my own money.

Apart from these surprising comments, Vijay said his favorite directors are Mani Ratnam and Bharatiraja. “I have been asking them for performance opportunities,” he said.
